James and Florence MacKenzie love Jesus Christ and his gospel, and believe the Bible speaks just as powerfully now as it always has. They are passionate about applying biblical principles to everyday life and, as members of the preaching team at Aberdeen Christian Fellowship, Scotland, they actively seek to teach God’s word clearly and relevantly. James and Florence are parents to one adult daughter and best friends to one black and white springer spaniel.

In addition to preaching in her home church and speaking at events throughout the UK and overseas, Florence – who has a diploma in preaching, as well as a degree in psychology – writes a regular column on managing your emotions in Just Between Us, a magazine that encourages and equips women for a life of faith. In her free time, Florence pursues her passion for animal print; indulges her interest in interior design; and furthers her investigations into her ancestry. She also enjoys walks in the countryside, accompanied by her furry, four-footed friend.

James is an avid reader whose favourite book is the Bible. His passion for God’s word is never more in evidence than when he preaches, presenting biblical truth in practical and incisive ways. Having been a devoted follower of Jesus Christ for most of his adult life, James never tires in his desire to know God more. Professionally, James is a medical doctor and has worked most of his life as a pathologist. In his spare time, his interests are more artistic. In addition to enjoying creative writing, particularly poetry and short stories, James also enjoys playing and listening to music. He has eclectic music tastes – ranging from Gregorian chant to progressive rock – but finds medieval choral pieces help him unwind after a nail-biting afternoon spent supporting his favourite football team.
